FAQ - Interface problems
Q. The tree of sites has disappeared
A.
There's a divider between the site list and the browser/file list
window. If this too far to the left the site tree disappears. To
get it back start with the mouse cursor on the left hand side of
the browser/file list window and slowly move it to the left. As
it touches the left edge you'll see an icon with two vertical lines
in the centre and an arrow pointing to each side (if you see the
window resizing icon - a double ended left-right arrow you've gone
too far to the left). Now click and drag to the right and the site
tree will reappear.
Q.
I've resized a column in the file list or site list and made it
so wide that I can't make it narrower again.
A. Try the following:
1) Resize the main window, then resize the column.
2) Click and drag the border between the site tree and the browser
pane to the left, then resize the column.
3) In explorer look for the file globals.dat in WebStrippers program
folder (C:\Program Files\Solent\WebStripper). Double click the file
to open it in NotePad. Look for the section starting with the line:
[AppData]
The lines XXXwidth=nnn specify the widths for the various columns.
Look for the line where XXX matches the column which is too wide
and reduce the value to the right of the '=' sign.
